Introduction

The International Young Talent Music Competition Belgium, organized by the International Academy of Arts in collaboration with Música Romântica, is aiming at young violinists, cellists and pianists of all nationalities. The competition is one of many activities organized by the International Academy of Arts to support young talent and to encourage them in their musical evolution.

By participating in this competition, they have the opportunity to cross their national borders and to profile themselves among different cultures.

The International Young Talent Music Competition Belgium is organized every year and consists of two rounds: the selection round (per video recording) and the final round. Depending on their age, candidates are classified into three different categories: 12 years is the maximum age in the first category, 16 years in the second and 19 years in the third. There is no minimum age.

Rules

The competition is aiming at students of music schools, music academies, municipal conservatories, high schools, universities and private schools.

  • The organization will provide official piano accompanists.
  • You are allowed to play with your own accompanist.
  • All finalists are allowed to subscribe to the next competition in the same category. However, laureates can only apply in a higher category.
  • If there aren't enough participants, the competition may be canceled, in which case the application fee will be refunded.
