The International Young Talent Music Competition Belgium is organized every year and consists of two rounds: the selection round and the final round.  Candidates are classified into different categories depending on their age.  The competition is aiming at students of music schools, music academies, municipal conservatories, high schools, universities and private schools.

Edition 2018

The 2018 edition of the competition, organized in collaboration with ESTA Belgium Flanders, will focus on violin, viola, cello and double bass.  Candidates are classified into three categories: 12 years is the maximum age in the first category, 16 years in the second and 19 years in the third.  There is no minimum age.

Candidates send in a video recording for evaluation before September 15, 2018.  The finale will take place on October 28, 2018.

Results and rewards

During the final round, the candidates will be rated by instrument, not by category.  There will be a 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize winner for each instrument.

The jury will be composed of celebrities from the international music scene.  Their names will remain secret until the beginning of the competition.

Rules

1) The organization will provide official piano accompanists, but you are allowed to play with your own accompanist.
2) All finalists are allowed to subscribe to the next competition in the same category.  However, laureates can only apply in a higher category.
3) If there aren't enough participants, the competition may be canceled, in which case the application fee will be refunded.
4) Jurors who helped prepare a candidate don't have voting rights for that candidate.
